BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
1. To BROWSE for a document, navigate through the folders, which function like file folders on a PC or Mac.
Most documents are sorted by type, then year or date.
2. To SEARCH for a document, enter search terms in the search bar at the top of the screen. Tips:
• Use the drop-down arrow to search within either the current folder, or all folders.
• Place search terms in "quotation marks" to search for exact phrases.
• By default, search will look for terms in both file names and document text.
• To refine your search, use the "Customize Search" or "Sort results by" menus.
• To exit search and return to the folder browser, click the "Access Pismo" button on the upper left.
3. To VIEW a document, click the name of the document, either within the folder browser, or within search results.
• By default, an image of the document is shown.
• To view just the plain text of the document, click "View plain text" on the upper right. This text may be copied
and pasted for external use.
4. To DOWNLOAD a document to your computer:
• Click the "PDF" button.
• Click the "Download & Print" button.
• A PDF file will be generated in your browser window.
• Right-click on the document and select "Save As" to save the PDF.
5. To PRINT a document:
• Follow the steps in Item 4 above to download a PDF of the document.
• Print the PDF as normal, either from the browser window or from your computer's files.
• To conserve resources, please consider printing documents only when necessary.
