ACCESS PISMO <br />PUBLIC RECORDS PORTAL <br /> <br />BASIC INSTRUCTIONS <br /> <br />1. To BROWSE for a document, navigate through the folders, which function like file folders on a PC or Mac. <br />Most documents are sorted by type, then year or date. <br /> <br /> <br />2. To SEARCH for a document, enter search terms in the search bar at the top of the screen. Tips: <br />• Use the drop-down arrow to search within either the current folder, or all folders. <br />• Place search terms in "quotation marks" to search for exact phrases. <br />• By default, search will look for terms in both file names and document text. <br />• To refine your search, use the "Customize Search" or "Sort results by" menus. <br />• To exit search and return to the folder browser, click the "Access Pismo" button on the upper left. <br /> <br /> <br />3. To VIEW a document, click the name of the document, either within the folder browser, or within search results. <br />• By default, an image of the document is shown. <br />• To view just the plain text of the document, click "View plain text" on the upper right. This text may be copied <br />and pasted for external use. <br /> <br /> <br />4. To DOWNLOAD a document to your computer: <br />• Click the "PDF" button. <br />• Click the "Download & Print" button. <br />• A PDF file will be generated in your browser window. <br />• Right-click on the document and select "Save As" to save the PDF. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />5.
